Perkins Earplugs: Step-by-Step Guide
Familiarize yourself with inserting and removing your Perkins Earplugs before you take them to work.
Choosing the Right Size:
- Perkins Earplugs are offered in three shell sizes: small, medium, and large. The sound-blocking filters are already fitted into the medium shell.
- If you find the medium shell do not fit, it is simple to switch the filter to the smaller or larger shell.
- To remove the filter, gently pull back on the silicone cover until it detaches and push filter up and out.
- Insert the filter into the small or large shell with the correct orientation: the mesh part faces outward.
Inserting the Earplugs:
- Ensure the earplugs are clean before use.
- Hold the earplug between your thumb and index finger.
- To make insertion easier, pull the ear upward and backward to straighten the ear canal.
- Gently push and rotate the earplug into your ear until it fits securely.
Removal Tips:
- To remove the earplugs, twist slowly and pull them gently. The tab on the end of each earplug can assist with this.
- Store the earplugs in their protective case when not in use.
Cleaning Instructions:
- Clean the earplugs with a damp cloth as needed.
- Do not immerse the earplugs in water.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaning agents or alcohol as these substances can damage the earplugs.
